Lehçediz is a local and national database comprising historical and contemporary Turkish texts, as well as significant works from the Turkic world and related communities. Every single word in the 5,000 texts contained in the database has been individually annotated and categorised. A vast amount of data relating to epic texts from the Turkic world, as well as to botany, medicine, water resources, mining, textiles, and translations of the Qur’an and hadith from the Ottoman period, is ready to be scanned; With just a device connected to the internet, it is possible to access thousands of data points quickly and efficiently for research into a scientific book or article.
The database provides a comprehensive resource for researchers working on processed texts in Ottoman Turkish, Azerbaijani Turkish, the dialects of Anatolia and the Balkans, as well as Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Crimean, Uzbek and Turkmen Turkish.
Lehçediz enables users to search texts produced not only in the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans, but also across a vast geographical area extending as far as Central and East Asia.
