CLARIFICATION TEXT ABOUT THE PROTECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
As Balıkesir University, in the capacity of “Data Controller” within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), we carry out the responsibility of data processing and protection activities such as collecting, storing, processing and sharing all kinds of personal data in accordance with the law within the limits of laws and legislation.
A.Purposes of Processing Personal Data
In the processing of personal data, the principles of compliance with the law and honesty rules, being based on a legitimate basis, not having consequences against the individual, transparency, accuracy of data, specific sources obtained, updating the data due to the lack of accuracy are followed.
Personal data are stored for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose for which they are processed.
Personal data are processed in accordance with the Legislation on the Protection of Personal Data, the legal regulations under Turkish law on the protection of personal data and as clearly stipulated in the laws.

Your data may be used for the purpose of protecting the safety of life and property of university students / employees/visitors, fulfilling legal obligations, requirements or requests requested by judicial bodies or authorized administrative organizations. The data may be processed for the execution of activities such as archiving for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations in electronic or physical environments for the realization of the purposes mentioned here by taking the necessary security and legal measures.
Your personal data may be collected orally, in writing or electronically by units of our University by automatic or non-automatic methods depending on the relationship between you and our University; It will be updated as long as your relationship with our University continues, and the mandatory data will be collected by our University in the capacity of Data Controller Dec. 5 of the KVK Law No. 6698 in order to fulfill our legal responsibility. and 6.personal data may be processed within the scope of the processing conditions and purposes specified in the articles.
B. To Whom and for What Purposes the Processed Personal Data May be Transferred
Your personal data; planning and execution of educational policies and processes of our university, maintaining educational activities at our university, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our university and all kinds of people who have business relations with our university, ensuring the physical security and supervision of facilities and buildings of our university, conducting legal compliance processes, conducting and fulfilling commercial, financial and financial affairs, determining and fulfilling commercial and business strategies for the purposes of; centers and/or units affiliated with our university, our subsidiaries, business partners and their subcontractors and franchisees, real and/or legal third party institutions and organizations authorized by law, business partners of our University and/or centers and/or units affiliated with our University, subcontractors, suppliers, real and/or legal third party institutions and organizations located at home and/or abroad, institutions and organizations that receive services under a contract or cooperate in any field to carry out products and services, Higher Education Institution, SGK, ministries, to legally authorized public institutions such as judicial authorities, consultants, organizations, parties, contracted organizations, pay systems organizations with which it cooperates when permitted by law, Law No. 6698 8. and 9. personal data may be transferred within the framework of the processing conditions and purposes specified in the articles.
C.The Method and Legal Reason of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is acquired for the purpose of providing our services in line with the above-mentioned purposes and in this context, for our University to fulfill its responsibilities arising from the contract and the law in a complete and accurate manner. Your personal data collected for this legal reason is subject to Section 5 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. and 6. within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in the articles, they can also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in articles (a) and (b) of this text.
D.11 Of the Law No. 6698 of the Personal Data Owner. The Rights Listed in the Article
As personal data owners, if you submit your requests for your rights to our University by the methods set out below, our University will finalize the request free of charge as soon as possible and no later than thirty days, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board will be charged by our University. In this context, the personal data owners;

To learn the purpose of processing the personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the purpose,
To know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred at home or abroad,
To request correction of the personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and to request notification of the transaction made in this context to the third parties to whom the personal data are transferred,
Although it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6698 and other relevant laws, to request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring its processing disappear, and to request that the transaction made in this context be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
Objecting to the occurrence of a result against the person himself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
It has the right to request compensation of the damage if it suffers damage due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
13 of the Law No. 6698. article 1. in accordance with the paragraph, you can submit your request to exercise your rights mentioned above to our University in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Since the Personal Data Protection Board has not determined any method at this stage, you must submit your application to our University in writing in accordance with Law No. 6698. Within this framework, our University is subject to Law No. 6698 No. 11. the channels and procedures through which you will submit your application in writing in the applications you will make within the scope of the article are explained below:
