Regarding Email Security

Two-factor authentication (2FA) has been implemented to enhance the security of our university’s institutional email accounts (staff email / @balikesir.edu.tr).
The 2FA system enables users to log in using a one-time verification code generated via a mobile device, in addition to their username and password. This method ensures that account security is maintained even if the password is compromised.

As two-factor authentication will become mandatory from 2 March 2026, any accounts that have not had two-factor authentication enabled by this date will be deactivated. Any issues encountered should be reported via the support form (destek.balikesir.edu.tr)
