CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear Colleagues,

The International Symposium of Current Developments on Intellectual Property Law was held and hosted by Balıkesir (State) University in 2023, and our preparations for the second symposium which is planned to hold in 2024 are continuing. In this context, hosted by Balıkesir (State) University, with the supports of the General Directorate of Copyright of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and Balıkesir City Council, in cooperation with L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University and North Macedonia International Vision University, we will be pleased to see you among us at the "International Symposium of Current Developments on Intellectual Property Law - II", which will be held face to face and online at Balıkesir University Atatürk Congress and Culture Center on the date of May 3-4, 2024.  

The “International Symposium of Current Developments on Intellectual Property Law - II” aims to provide a platform for scholarly discussions and for sharing research proposals on the new developments in the field of intellectual and industrial property. The symposium is open to scholars with deep expertise in Intellectual Property Law, Members of the Judiciary and participants representing sectors outside the academia. Although the symposium is held in Turkish, it is open to submission of papers in English.

Deadline for abstract submissions is March 8, 2024. To present a paper at the Symposium, applicants must fill the “Application Form” which is available at the following web site: baunfikrimulkiyet2024.balikesir.edu.tr  

The application form must include a short summary (about 500 words) containing the title of the paper, methodology, main proposal, preliminary conclusions and five keywords, as well as the name and surname, title, affiliation, contact information and ORCID code of the participant.

Note: In case of face to face attendance at the symposium, out of city transportation costs will be covered by the participants. Accommodation, catering, urban transfer and cultural trip costs, for those who will present paper and will be members of scientific advisory board and organizing committee, will be afforded by Balıkesir University.
